Acupressure for Flu

About a dozen different acupressure points provide relief from flu symptoms. Using your fingertips, apply steady penetrating pressure to each point for 3 minutes.

Bladder 2, located on either side of your nose, where the bridge of your nose meets the ridge of your eyebrows. This point relieves congestion and itchy eyes.

Stomach 3, located at the bottom of either cheekbone, directly below your pupil. This point also relieves congestion and itchy eyes.

Large Intestine 20, located on either cheek, in the groove beside each nostril.

Gall Bladder 20 To help relieve flu symptoms, including headaches and eye- strain, place the tips of your middle fingers in the hollows at the base of your skull, about two inches apart on either side of the spine. Press firmly.

Bladder 11, 12, 13, and 14 clear and balance the respiratory system.

Large Intestine 4 controls the head. This acupressure point relieves congestion and headaches.

Lung 7 helps to clear upper respiratory tract infections.

Massaging the feet helps to bring energy down from the head to aid healing.
