Shiatsu
Shiatsu is very effective in calming the
anxiety.
1. Press on the point just above the "third eye"
point. This point is located in the center of your forehead just above the eyebrows.
There is a small indentation in the bone. Place your index finger on the point, and then put your middle finger on top of the index finger. Press firmly for 5 to 7 seconds, 3 to 5 times.
2. Bend your left arm to locate the elbow crease, then unbend it. This point is at the lower end of the crease (toward your fingers) and opposite the thumb side of the hand, slightly to the inside of center. Hold for 30 seconds and release gradually, then switch arms. This will help relieve heart palpitations,
often found to accompany acute anxiety.
3. The following sequence of points is recommended by Shiatsu expert and educator Toru
Namikoshi. Shiatsu on these points will help relieve anxiety, worry, and insomnia and will be very balancing.
