19. Should lecithin be taken as liquid, granules, or capsules?

The form in which lecithin is taken is not that important. What is important is the way it is processed. Lecithin granules are usually defatted, bleached, and or deodorized-processes that destroy phosphatidylcholine, the active ingredient of lecithin. Look for an indication on the label that there is between 20 percent and 55 percent phosphatidylcholine in a lecithin product. (The high concentration, 55 percent, of phosphatidylcholine is very expensive.)
